EP: 141 Skin Shifter, Indie Comics & Kickstarter, Kevin Davis Returns to Talkin' Comics

Kevin Davis is BACK on Talkin' Comics! This time, we're talking indie comics, Kickstarter campaigns, building a comic book universe, and his upcoming project, Skin Shifter!

Skin Shifter is based on Kevin's earlier novel Jack O Bunny and introduces readers to a strange and mysterious world involving Mario Fitzgerald, Jackabunny, Sabrina Jackal, the Corpus Fiend, and a much larger story still waiting to be revealed.

Kevin explains why Chapter One is only a taste of the Skin Shifter universe, how he works with his artists, and why he's planning the larger story as a full graphic novel.

We also talk about Arcfire Quest, Kevin's strategy of building comic arcs as trilogies, the challenges of printing and selling indie comics, Kickstarter, conventions, networking, and the realities of being an independent comic creator.

AJ also talks about his own journey into creating comics, learning to draw, creating an eight-page Panel Pete zine, and continuing to build the world around the Talkin' Comics mascot.
